1. Michelle Obama has cemented her position as the most awesome FLOTUS in history (that’s First Lady of the United States) by performing a dance routine – the “Evolution of Mum Dancing” – with talkshow host Jimmy Fallon in drag.
And the video is exactly as good as that sentence would have you believe. Check out the video here.
The First Lady appeared on the set of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon to promote her “Let’s Move” campaign to end childhood obesity – which has been endorsed by such reputable media personalities as Big Bird.
There’s a lot to love here. Jimmy Fallon’s Tine Fey-esque ‘do, pink cashmere sweater, and sensible sneakers turn him into an extraordinarily convincing mother.
But it’s the dance moves that really impress. The “Sprinkler”. The “Just The Hands Part Of Single Ladies”. The “Where’s Your Father? (Get Him Back Here!)”. And Michelle Obama doing the “Hip Bump” is not something you will forget any time soon.

4. Federal Child Care Minister Kate Ellis has married the Sunday Mail editor David Penberthy, in a ‘secret’ ceremony which was reportedly actually the ‘worst-kept secret’ in Adelaide on Saturday.
Ms Ellis wore a dress from local designer Alexis George, and Penberthy’s two young children were members of the bridal party.
The Minister spoke to Adelaide Now, saying:
“We thought about what was important to us and it wasn’t stress or anticipation but just getting married in a laid-back fashion surrounded by the people that we love.”
Her new husband added:
“It really was a terrific night. It was great fun just filling up the house with our nearest and dearest mates and our families.
“We are not sure if it was the best-kept secret but everyone was polite enough to feign surprise on arrival.”
5. The latest fashion trend, most definitely not off the runway, is to switch clothes with your partner.
First photographer Hana Pesut created the Switcheroo series, in which she asked couples to pose for photographs wearing each other’s clothes. Then magazine The Stranger ran a clothing swap piece. Most recently, The Bold Italic ran a similar photography series.
Given the trend of ‘boyfriend jeans’ and the age-old rite of ‘stealing your significant other’s super comfy hoody’ we see this style statement taking off. Although perhaps there won’t be many men walking a mile in their partner’s high heels.
6. “I am not my tweets or the tweeter that tweets them. I am the awareness that the tweeter is tweeting. Twuly! ;^}” – Yes that’s a real tweet from Jim Carey – he’s gone extra er, interesting on Twitter – read more here.
7. Barbie often gets criticized for providing an unrealistic ideal of beauty for women to aspire to… But what about Ken? A man in New York has had over 100 cosmetic procedures to make himself look like a real-life Ken doll.
Justin Jelica, 32, also doesn’t think there’s anything wrong with plastic surgery, and believes he is being ‘artistic’ and ‘creative’ by modifying his looks.
He defended his position on television show This Morning by saying, “It’s creative, would you ask Picasso not to paint? Why is it any more offensive because I choose to be creative through surgery?”
Justin’s artistic endeavours have seen him sign up for cranial brow bone reshaping, pec and bicep silicone implants, augmentations to his cheeks and lips, and no less than five nose jobs.
This Picasso is dedicated, but he also says that he was never motivated by dissatisfaction with his looks.
“’I always thought I was a handsome individual so had a great base to work from… I am happy but I enjoy the constant state of change like having a tattoo or body piercing.”
He’s got the confidence of a Ken doll, too.
8. Jennifer Lawrence’s biggest fan has been friends with the actress for more than 10 years. His bedroom is plastered with her movie posters, pictures of her from magazine pictures. He’s also got Down Syndrome – meet him here.

Michelle Obama is fantastic! I love how down to earth and fun she seems!
Whats up with the extra hand in the Rihanna/Kate cover? Photoshop FAIL prehaps????
I thought that too, but on closer inspection, what I thought was Rihanna's arm and shoulder is actually Kate Moss' leg! Riri's arm and shoulder wrap around behind Kate's leg.
Ewww creepy! Well spotted
What extra hand? Where? I only see four hands; two each.
Ahhh... I get it now thanks....
Still looks rather odd.
