Four days ago, he texted to say they were on their way...

The man is 35-year-old Greg Hutchings. The little girl is his four-year-old daughter Eeva Dorendahl.

And for three days now, Eeva’s mother has been waiting for any sign that her four-year-old daughter is alive and safe.

Eeva and her dad Greg  have been missing in bushland since Saturday. They were last seen on Pottsville Road, Pottsville on the northern border of NSW at 12.30pm.

The little girl had been staying at her father’s house in Pottsville but was due to meet her mother in Kin Kin on the Sunshine Coast.

Mr Hutchings reportedly sent a single text to Eeva’s mother saying they were on their way. It’s believed they have no access to a car.

When they failed to turn up by lunchtime on Saturday, panicked family members called the police in Tweed and an investigation was immediately launched.

Police have been scouring the bush for the father-daughter duo, but so far found nothing.

So that’s three days of panic for Eeva’s mother. The search continues as fears for the pair’s safety intensify.

Acting Inspector Warwick Rhodes calls on anyone with information to come forward.

“Obviously the mother is distraught at this time and his family are also concerned but we’re making every effort to contact anybody he knows in the area and we need the assistance of the public to help locate the father and his four-year-old daughter,” Rhodes said.

“There is a huge amount of scrub and beach scrub that police need to search and we’re trying to narrow down as we speak the last area that they were located or seen,” he said.

Details about the pair’s appearance have been distributed with urgency. The case has been fast-tracked from a missing persons report to an urgent police alert

Eeva is thin with long, white-blonde hair. She was last seen wearing an oversized blue and white shirt and multi-coloured shorts. Greg is also thin, about 175cm tall with short, brown, curly hair. He was in a black shirt and grey pants and had a black backpack.

Please share this post and hope that Eeva and Greg are found as soon as possible.

Police urge anyone with information to call Crimestoppers on 1800 333 000.
