Our favourite four-year-old fashion designer takes on the Oscars

We’ve been waiting for this moment all week. The pint-sized queen of paper dresses has replicated the biggest red carpet of all…

Last week we brought you the story of Mayhem, a creative 4-year-old whose replicas of iconic dresses, constructed out of paper, tape and other household items, have made the internet cheer. (You can read more about her passion for fashion here.)

Now, she’s tackled the hottest red carpet looks from the Oscars – and her versions are so realistic we suspect celebrities will start clamouring to have Mayhem dress them for their next big event.

We’re particularly fond of her take on host Ellen Degeneres‘ tuxedo – and Ellen probably was too, considering the four Oscars looks were debuted on her blog.

Mayhem’s mum and co-designer Angie also posted them on Instagram:

We’d love to know if Mayhem’s version Lupita Nyong-o’s floaty sky blue Prada gown comes in our size, because it’s the very definition of cute.

You can follow Mayhem’s design adventures on her blog, Fashion by Mayhem.
