Emma Watson, you gloriously educated young woman, you.
The 24-year-old Harry Potter actress has just graduated from Brown University with a degree in English Literature.
500 points to Gryffindor! Accio baccalaureate! Expecto diploma! Hermione Granger really is the brightest witch of her age!
Seriously though, here’s the brilliant young role model in her graduate cap and gown:
Emma started her studies in 2009 at Brown, spent some time at Oxford University as well, and graduated five years on. She’s also been dating a normal-person student and filming some movies in between semesters. She took a year off in 2011, but non-moviestars do that too.
She’s been getting so much done, we genuinely wonder whether Dumbledore let her keep the Time Turner device she had in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban….
Here’s what she said recently about staying incognito on campus (without the invisibility cloak): “On the first day, I walked into the canteen and everyone went completely silent and turned to look at me,” she told The Sunday Times in March. “I had to say to myself, ‘It’s okay, you can do this. You just have to take a deep breath and gather your courage.'”

Not knowing Emma, and not wanting to sound offensive... I reckon she might have felt enormous pressure to appear as smart as her fictional character was in the movies...
Love EW - so, it seems, do all the 11 and 12 year old boys at my daughter's school. The expression HTEW (hotter than Emma Watson) is high praise!
