weddings

Eddie Bartholomew has shared her wedding video and it's what dreams are made of.

It’s official. Sunrise presenter Edwina Bartholomew has become one of those married people.

The 34-year-old is still obsessed with everything about her wedding from April this year. And for good reason.

Why? Because Eddie’s country NSW wedding was, quite frankly, one of the most beautiful weddings we’ve ever seen.

After sharing some her wedding photos with the public, the Channel 7 entertainment reporter sensed the demand for more and has now blessed us with a short wedding video. It’s stunning.

“At the risk of becoming one of ‘those’ annoying smug married types… here is a little snippet of our wedding video,” Eddie captioned the video on Instagram on Wednesday.

The video – which we’d describe as McLeod’s Daughters meets a Vogue fashion shoot – shows intimate footage from Eddie and husband Neil Varcoe’s wedding set to the sound of an acoustic version of ‘I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles)’ by The Proclaimers.

It features lovely moments including overhead shots of the couple’s farm in the Capertee Valley turned into a tepee village, Eddie’s family walking her down the aisle as she wore the same wedding dress her grandmother did in 1944, and the 160 wedding guests shuffling up a big hill to get an epic view of the valley below.

If you’re into country weddings (or weddings in general), this video will be so far up your alley you’ll feel like you were actually there.

Eddie and Neil had been together for eight years before marrying on their 100-acre property in Warramba in NSW’s Greater Blue Mountains on April 21. The couple announced their engagement in April last year.

“It’s so wonderful to be able to share our wedding photos with all of our wonderful Sunrise viewers. Everyone has been so kind since we announced our engagement last April. We have felt very loved,” the bride said in a press release following the ceremony.

The couple first met as colleagues at Sydney’s 2GB radio station, and bonded over their mutual love of Better Homes and Gardens. They started flirting on Facebook, but it apparently took Varcoe months to convince his new bride to go out with him. The story goes Eddie then went to a friend’s house later that same night and said she’d met the man she was going to marry.

And we all lived happily ever after.
