One woman says Caitlyn Jenner should never have received an award.

The win was controversial.

In February, Caitlyn Jenner was involved in a four-car accident in California that left one person dead.

Jessica Steindorff, a talent manager who was involved in the accident, filed a personal injury lawsuit against Jenner, alleging she drove “negligently, carelessly, recklessly and wantonly” and caused the accident.

Steindorff has spoken about her disappointment that Jenner was awarded the ESPY for courage despite actions that she claims caused the death of a person.

“I find it difficult to understand how the culture we live in can honor a person who is responsible for taking a life and injuring several others with both an award and a reality show,” Steindorff told ET.

“For an individual who is such a positive role model in many aspects of her life, Caitlyn has failed to do the right thing and take responsibility for her actions.”

Jenner has also been named in a wrongful death suit by the step-children of the woman who was killed in the accident.

So far, Jenner has not been charged with a crime and has fully cooperated with authorities.

She was awarded the Arthur Ashe Award at the ESPYs yesterday and gave an inspiring speech about compassion and acceptance.

“I would hope that someone who seems to greatly value the importance of human existence would be more sensitive to the fact that she ended another person’s life. Sadly we are living in a tabloid society,” Steindorff told ET.

You know I was thinking this too, but if Jenner has not been charged, then is Jenner actually responsible for the accident? I'm quite confused about this. This is what I don't understand, because I keep reading that Jenner caused this death but then I don't understand if this is the case, why has Jenner not been charged. I keep saying "Jenner" because at the time he was still known as Bruce.

I don't know, this law suit sounds a little bit opportunistic. It all sounds just think suing a celebrity with money seems a little too convenient. I'm not saying that I'm taking sides, but all I've read, states that he was involved in a 4 car accident. Being involved doesn't necessarily mean at fault. Maybe that's why there are no charges? Maybe just a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. I guess we'll have to wait and see what the investigation reveals. I just think if there was any real negligence on Jenner's part, wouldn't the media be eating this up? The fact that they're not makes me think that theres no story here. Celebrity not at fault of accident just isn't exactly juicy enough for them to sell.

Jenner has been charged with a misdemeanour "negligent driving" no jail time. He ran into the back of the car forcing it onto the wrong side and into an oncoming car. Probably the minor charge with no conviction recorded because of "celebrity satus".
