More details have emerged about Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie‘s new film.
The film, which will be the first joint venture for the pair since Mr and Mrs Smith (the film on which they met back in 2005), is reportedly set to start filming in August, according to the word of a very unlikely source: the prime minister of Malta.
Maltese Prime Minister Joseph Muscat has confirmed that production will take place in Malta next month, telling Us Weekly that his country will be “delighted to host” the Jolie-Pitt clan.
(Just quietly: doesn’t he have a tiny Mediterranean republic to run?)
Another source – presumably not the head of state of a small European country – told Us Weekly that Angelina Jolie had written the script herself.
Back in May, Jolie revealed that those looking for ‘Mr and Mrs Smith II‘ would be disappointed, because the film is not an action movie.
“It’s the kind of movie we love but aren’t often cast in,” Jolie told Extra. “It’s a very experimental, independent-type film where we get to be actors together and be really raw, open, [and] try things.”
And, who knows? Maybe PM Muscat will make a cameo appearance?

Malta is a lovely, friendly little country with great beaches. I hope their being there gets it some more tourists.
