If you like old-fashioned love stories, this post is for you.

James Costello and  Krista D’Agostinocame across each other in the worst of circumstances but these newlyweds are die hard romantics who believe they were destined to meet.

He was a survivor of the Boston Marathon bombing, left with shrapnel injuries and serious burns that required multiple surgeries and skin grafts on his arms and legs.

She was a nurse at the Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in charge of his recovery.

Sixteen months after the terrible tragedy, the pair got married.

Costello told reporters he’s ultimately glad for what happened to him.

“One thing that she hates that [D’Agostino] I always say is I’m actually glad I got blown up,” Costello said in December.

“I wish everyone else didn’t have to, but I don’t think I would have ever met her if I didn’t.”

Do you believe in fate? How did you meet your partner?
