There are a lot of big issues in the current US election. Women’s rights. Immigration. Free trade. The future of America, and arguably the rest of the world. It’s all to be decided today.
But there is one question we all want answered.
What will we call Hillary Clinton’s husband, Bill Clinton (a former US President himself) if she wins?
If Hillary – the Presidential nominee for the Democrats – is elected, she will be the first ever female President of the United States. But her husband, Bill Clinton … Well, he’s just not First Lady material.
What will we call him? First Man? He’s with her? Hillary’s housemaker?
(Alright, we know it’s not quite as important as abortion rights, but we’re still interested.)
The couple’s daughter, Chelsea Clinton, spoke to Today about this very issue last Thursday. “He likes to hearken back to his Irish roots so I think he would love to be called First Laddie,” she said, referring to an Irish word for boy.
Chelsea wasn’t so keen on this idea, however. She’s pushing for the title of “First Gentleman”.
You’re never too old, it seems, to be embarrassed by your Dad’s jokes.

I'm pretty sure that former POTUSes (or whatever the plural is) still get to be called 'Mr President' for the rest of their lives. I love the idea that they will just be referred to as Madam and Mister President forthwith. Or just 'The Presidents'.
Or just former President & MRS Clinton by the look of it !!
Or the confusing:
Introducing Mrs and Mr President (as the potential incumbent she gets to go first), Mr and Mrs Clinton!
