Hey, you know those two little strips of hair above your eyes?
The ones you spend a big old chunk of money on waxing, threading, feathering, brushing, fluffing and filling in? Or the ones you plucked into oblivion in the 90s?
For the whole of May, those humble hairs can help Aussie women and girls reach their potential and become their own superheroes.
All you, their human, have to do is take them in for a wax.
This month, Benefit Australia are donating 100 per cent of the profits from every brow wax service worldwide to local charities through its Bold is Beautiful Project.
In Australia, those charities are: Fitted For Work, Sister 2 Sister and Look Good Feel Better.
All three organisations work tirelessly to ensure women and girls from all walks of Australian life are supported and encouraged to pursue opportunities and feel confident within themselves.
Since launching the campaign in 2015, Benefit has raised and donated over $11 million US ($14,500,000 AUD) to local charity partners through waxing 455,911 pairs of eyebrows.
In 2018, here’s how your $31 Benefit BrowBar eyebrow wax will be put to work:
- One wax = One training session in financial literacy, two children enrolled in day camps focused on science, technology, engineering and mathematics, and one week’s worth of hands-on programming for one girl through Girls Inc.
- Eight waxes = One beauty workshop for cancer patients to help them feel good about themselves during cancer treatment
- 10 waxes = One night of safe accommodation and emotional support for a woman in need.
Benefit Australia have also partnered with Aussie brand Skin and Threads to design a limited edition ‘HERO’ t-shirt.
100 per cent of the profits sold from the fun take on the classic, crisp white tee (retailing for $49) will also go towards the Bold is Beautiful charity partners.
You can find these throughout May while stocks last at Myer Benefit BrowBars nationally, at Skin and Threads counters in in Myer Sydney City, Myer Melbourne City, Skin and Threads boutiques in Melbourne Emporium and Chadstone and online at skinandthreads.com.au.
To book your $31 eyebrow wax, visit Benefit Cosmetics Australia, or contact your local Myer Benefit BrowBar.
For a grooming service you get done anyway, it’s incredible to think that this month’s wax might change another woman’s life.
