It’s hard to imagine Kyle and Jackie O have been banned from doing ~only~ one on-air stunt.
The radio duo who’ve made names for themselves as ‘shock jocks’ have done just about everything you can – or, would rather not – imagine on live radio. We won’t even mention some of their past ‘stunts’ (if you can call them that), that have attracted considerable, and warranted, controversy.
So what stunt could be so horrible, so ethically compromised that KISS FM producers drew a line in the sand?
Speaking to News.com.au, Jackie O confirmed there’s one place the show definitely will not go. And that place is the place where you decide to… sell embryos?
“To put it in context, the other day we had a conversation about how I have been through IVF and I still have in storage, in the freezer, probably about 10 or 12 embryos,” the mum-of-one said.
“I said to the guys, ‘You know, I don’t think we’re going to have any more kids and I’m still paying every month for the storage. I have no idea what I’m going to do with them So of course, [Kyle and the producers] had an idea.
“You know how we do those competitions where we say, ‘You get a car! You get a holiday!’ They wanted to give away my embryos. ‘You get a baby!’”
While it's very, very difficult for us to put into words just how glad we are this particular idea has been banned, Kyle doesn't share the same opinion of his "brilliant idea".
"Legal said no and Jackie said no... All those parents who want a baby and Jackie’s sitting on all these refrigerated kids," he told News.com.au.
I guess we should be happy to see The Kyle and Jackie O Show does have some limits on what's 100 per cent not appropriate. If they could just, maybe, broaden those limits, that'd be great.
