Wow: A 60 second experience of what it's like to be living with autism.

Autism is a very common but also often misunderstood condition.

There are stories and videos all over the internet promising us an insight into what it’s really like for those living with autism. But this? This is a little different.

This puts the viewer in the actual position of someone who has the condition. It gives you a 60 second experience of the world as incredibly frustrating and confusing place; where what we consider ‘normal’ human function is seemingly impossible.

Sure, it’s only a minute long. But that minute will give you a lifetime’s worth of empathy and understanding.

Well, the stationary objects moving part is a little weird and seems more like schizophrenia---but then, I gather NTs often understand stuff better in a non-literal way? But yes, as far as loud sounds that are little to everyone else and never stop jolting you, this is my experience. Working as an office intern, I actually had to structure breaks around the totally overwhelming (and totally non-bothersome to anyone else) sound of the A/C unit turning on, and I could hear the copy machine down the hall jam, to the mysticification of others.

That was really disturbing. I'm not on the spectrum, but I could relate to the noise parts of it (not the visual). I would find it almost impossible to cope with both. Thanks for sharing it
