Obviously the prime minister is doing a bang-up job as the Minister for Women (cough, cough), but hasn’t he been forgetting something?
There is a glaring lack of equality in Tony Abbott’s front bench. It’s something we’ve ignored for a while, but we can’t stay silent any longer… one gender is grossly under represented in cabinet and we just can’t keep looking the other way.
We all know the PM has been absolutely killing it as the minister for women, but just who is that’s looking after the interests of Australia’s men?
OPINION: “Minister, if that’s your best effort, then you need to resign.”
That’s right. I don’t want to alarm you, but we’re nearly half-way through the Coalition’s first term of government and this country still has NO MINISTER FOR MEN.
Most likely it was just an oversight by Tony Abbott and will soon be fixed, like that silly science portfolio (whoops!), but in the interim someone else has stepped up to fill the position. #sweetrelief
Australia, meet you new self-appointed Minister for Men…
Gretel Killeen.
She’s got your back, men.

You may want to update the article to mention that this video is advertising for the All About Women event at the Sydney Opera House in March that Mamamia editor (Mia Freedman) is part of. She is a panel member of the
What I Couldn't Say discussion.
You need to disclose that there is a commercial connection between this event and your editor otherwise it blurs the distinction between content and advertising.
Gretel Killeen is so funny. Look up her episode of Come Dine With Me, she's hilarious.
