Zoe Foster Blake's "party ready" face only took her 10 MINUTES.

Do you want to be more like Zoe Foster Blake?

Trick question – of course you do! She’s a makeup and beauty expert with the uncanny ability to see into the souls of the, er, non-makeup and beauty experts among us.

Her skincare range, GoTo, is already a must-have for those of us who aren’t quite sure what they should be putting on their faces (but know it should be something good), and her books, Amazing Face and Amazing-er Face, are 21st century beauty bibles.

Over the weekend, Zoe and her husband Hamish attended a glorious Downtown-Abbey themed party. Naturally, her makeup was similarly excellent.

You could be forgiven for thinking her look was professional, but in an Instagram post earlier today, she revealed it was not: in fact, it was completely DIY, and it only took TEN MINUTES.

"Makeup CAN BE FAST!" She captioned the photo. (Tell us more! Cried the people who spent four hours trying to clown contour their faces last night and who also definitely aren't me. Ahem.)

Zoe's advice for a speedy look? "Just focus on lashes and lips."

Latergram of last night's party makeup for my delicious friendbabe @justine_cullen's epic 40th which was unreal plus I only lost three of my fancy dress components so that's cool. I'm proud to say this makeup took 10 minutes (I was allocated four). Makeup CAN BE FAST! Just focus on lashes and lips, you guize. 1. Strip lashes (applied in Melb before flying up cos they always take me ages and I get clammy and agitated cos am bad at them) from @ardelllashesaus. No party face is complete without lashes. They do all the heavy lifting. 2. Afterglow (dewy and good coverage; I did two layers) foundation from @harlottecosmetics. 3. Black shadow used wet as liner along (wonky, dubious) falsie lashline, plum shadow smoked out on outer corner, both from the Tartlette palette by @tartecosmetics. 3. Red lip liner to fill in lips and outline, followed by Revlon Colorstay Overtime Lipcolor in Unending Red. 4. Loads of @maccosmetics blush in springsheen on upper cheekbones. Loads! 5. Fringe and haircut I could never sass in real life making it 10x more fun. 6. No comprehension of the hangover that awaited today.

She then proceeded to take us through, step by step, exactly how she achieved her glorious fancy-dress look.

Got a notepad and pen handy? Okay, go.

"1. Strip lashes (applied in Melb before flying up cos they always take me ages and I get clammy and agitated cos am bad at them) from @ardelllashesaus. No party face is complete without lashes. They do all the heavy lifting.

4. Loads of @maccosmetics blush in springsheen on upper cheekbones. Loads!

5. Fringe and haircut I could never sass in real life making it 10x more fun."

And finally, the most important party ingredient of all...

"6. No comprehension of the hangover that awaited today."

Yep, that's right. Zoe Foster Blake is just like you and me. Except a lot better at makeup.
