'Doesn't compare to anything else I've found.' 11 women tried the trending supermarket brand for smooth, silkier hair.

A very wise hair stylist once told me that your hair is the most underrated accessory. 

And while in hindsight this was very obvious, it wasn't until I heard it that I realised how little attention I was paying to my own. I had my tailored skincare routine down, but my haircare routine was almost as shameful as a 6-in-1 body wash. 

I can reassure you it's been a few years since, and I've made some ~changes~ and have noticed how much healthier my hair looks and feels. But, with an expensive price tag. 

The Mamamia team are always snooping out salon-quality hair products that are both effective and won't break the bank. So hearing in beauty circles that Zena Smooth Shampoo and Conditioner might be some cuties to watch got us a bit excited – especially when they can be picked up at Coles.

They're Australian made, free from sulphates/parabens and not tested on animals, with 100 per cent recyclable packaging too (we love). And being the self-care queens we are who care about sustainability but also aesthetic packaging to display in our bathrooms, Zena just gets it. Tick, tick, tick.

Zena's Smooth Shampoo and Conditioner duo are made with high quality ingredients too, a *chef's kiss* perk to know your hair is actually being nourished with the goods for hydrated and silkier results. They're packed with silk amino acids to protect hair from moisture loss, plus baobab seed extract and hemp seed extract for hydration – which intend to reduce hair frizz, add softness and maximise shine.

To really put them to the test on all hair types (including coloured hair), we had 200 women from Mamamia's You Beauty Panel to rate Zena haircare first and tell us every little detail on its performance.
