1. Young women being targeted to trade sex for drugs.

Advertisements hvae emerged on online dating websites of men seeking young women for sex, for which they will pay in ice and marijuana.

SMH reports the ads are appearing in the Wollongong and Nowra region, south of Sydney, on Craigslist and Locanto websites.

At least 19 ads in the past two months have offered both marijuana and crystal meth — under street names ‘420’ and ‘sweet puff’ — to young women.

One 30-year-old North Wollongong user offered peer, sweet puff and marijuana for “adult naughty fun all night”, and he requested “ONLY YOUNG GIRLS PLEASE!”

Another man asked for “teen girls”, while another asked for “younger slimmer girls” — all hoping to swap sex for drugs.

Lawyer Aaron Kernaghan told Fairfax Media the exploitation of sex and drugs could provide a harsher response from courts, should these men be caught and charged.

2. Teacher admits to ‘upskirting’ students at prestigious school.

A teacher from Berwick Secondary College has admitted to taking videos and photos up the skirts of female school students.

Marinko Jankovic, 59, appeared in Dandenong Magistrates’ Court today and indicated he would plead guilty to making the 106 digital child pornography files, the Herald Sun reports.

He also indicated he will plead guilty to knowingly possessing images depicting people under the age of 18 in an indecent manner.

The offence occurred between 2011 and 2013. Mr Jankovic was immediately stood down upon the authorities learning of the crime.

Despite being charged last January, it wasn’t until March this year that current and former students of the school were informed of the charges.

3. Picasso painting sells for $200 million.

A painting by Pablo Picasso has fetched over $US179 million ($AUD225 million) at auction in the United States.

Les femmes d’Alger, or The Women of Algiers, has broken a record for the most expensive sale at auction house, Christies.

The 1955 painting is one of the last Picasso pieces in private hands, ABC News reports.

4. Man charged with murder of woman in Victoria.

A 49-year-old man has been charged with the murder of a woman in Dallas, Victoria.

The alleged murder happened yesterday, and the man was detained by police after the body of the woman was discovered in a home at 2.30pm yesterday.

He is due to appear in Melbourne magistrates court later today.

5. Breaking Bad computer virus causing alarm.

A computer virus spreading throughout Australia is using a Breaking Bad theme to taunt its victims.

The virus is called “Los Pollos Hermanos” – a store owned by a character in the hit TV show, Breaking Bad.

If you open a file, the virus can infiltrate and encrypt all of your files. It will hold them for ransom and demand you pay a $1000 bitcoin fee to unlock and return the files.

According to anti-virus softwarre company Symantec, the “crypto ransomware” is new to Australia.

An IT specialist told the ABC, computer users must back up their files to save their work.
