In the last presidential candidate debate last week, John McCain and Barrack Obama were asked about their positions on abortion. The clilp below is quite extraordinary for the way McCain summarily dismisses women by using air quotes. AIR. QUOTES.
By being so dismissive of the health of the mother in the issue of abortion, McCain has infuriated not just pro-choicers but women everywhere, women who have lost babies through miscarriage or who had to make the devastating decision to end a pregnancy in order to save their own lives…….

I'm crossing my fingers and trying not to stress for the next few days (my vote for Obama is already in and there's really not much more I can do)...the people of my country must do the right thing and have some sense for once! My best friend at home just saw Obama speak in Virginia. She waited for 3 hours to get into his rally, but it filled up and she couldn't get in. All of a sudden, he appeared outside and spoke to those who had been waiting. He is a good, good man.
Don't worry Richard, I'm not losing sleep over it! Just something we've been pondering as probably the only way McCain could win right now.
