Super cranky bride sues over "terrible" wedding video.

This bride is so horrified by her own wedding video, she’s suing her videographer for $122,000 in damages.

26-year-old Monica Nikchemny walked down the aisle to marry the love of her life, Felix Komrash, 33, in September 2012. The wedding video arrived a whole year later. Now, Monica and her father are still caught in a legal battle with wedding media company Visualaz who, she claims, ruined all her beautiful memories with weird sound effects and fake applause tracks.

“When I watched my wedding video it really sounded like I was watching an episode of ‘Seinfeld,’” she said. “It really was ridiculous.”

A court in America heard Monica describe the video as “The worst thing in the world.”

She elaborates on her emotional state after watching this hideous monstrosity of a film: “I was really, absolutely hysterical and I almost had a nervous breakdown.”

Intense, right? This video must be seriously atrocious.

Look.

We’ve tracked it down.

We’ve got the video.

We just don’t really know what to make of it.

True to Monica’s claims, it’s a montage of cheesy moments: close-ups of the dress, the moment the groom saw the bride for the first time, snippets of the maid of honour‘s speech. It’s all about family and love and romance and tule.

But here’s the awkward question: Isn’t that exactly what wedding videos are meant to be? A collage of gorgeous moments?

Watch it, and let us know what you think. Is Monica right; is this the worst thing in the world? Or is it a pretty standard wedding video?

As far as we can tell, it has all the elements of a wedding vid…

Because the allegations against this wedding video and its creator have been so strong – “the worst thing in the world” and “really ridiculous” – we thought we’d better go through it frame by frame.

Watch the horror unfold, frame by frame:

This is why insurance prices have gone through the roof and why every time you want to do anything anymore you need to sign a million waiver forms because people go around suing for ridiculous amounts over ridiculous things, suing should be something you do if you become crippled or some similar tragedy. Admittedly there should be some legal redress available for issues like this, but it should be a one off case settled in the petty claims court for a reasonable amount of money and with no appeal process available, that way the "real" courts would be there to deal with important issues. Also there should be some "common sense" laws put into place, for instance if you take your hairdryer into the shower and get electrocuted, you (or your family!) shouldn't be able to sue because the manufacturer neglected to put a sticker on the hairdryer saying don't use it in the shower, if on the other hand a piece of specialised equipment doesn't have safety instructions and the commonsensr rules shows that this is unlikely to be general knowledge then yes you have legal redress.
This isn't such a strange concept because we already have the notion that ignorance of the law is no defence (so if someone steals they can't use the defence that they didn't know this was against the law), the same could apply to commonsensr, there could be a list of things written up that fall under the commonsensr rule, eg it should be commonsensr to not get a hairdryer wet, and therefore you can't sue, anything not under the commonsensr rule would still be something that could either be taken to court, or perhaps got some things there could be a set amount (if it was something straight forward) that people could claim without wasting court time, of course there would still be many things that aren't straight forward that have to go to court but this system would weed out some of the time wasters

can people stop promoting this video as the one she is suing over...it's dumb to sue for but it's made very clear this video is the trailer they were very happy with...it's the final video they got a year later that was a bigger problem so for all we know that one suced and... has not been put online anywhere HUSH

The full video is posted in the comments below. In my opinion, it is as equally beautiful as the trailer. I'm not sure what this bride's motivation is, but it seems her expectations incredibly unrealistic. This is a gorgeous, very professional wedding video.
