Shocking footage obtained by a CCTV camera shows a woman, Misty Lee Wilke, 43, running over a man riding a bike with her red mustang.
The footage was shot in April but released earlier this month.
The video shows the man biking away from the house and then circling back before the car pulls out of the driveway and heads straight for him.
He's hit with such force he and the bike flip over the car in the air and he lands on the hard gravel, motionless, before passers by help him out.
"This was the first time that a security footage captured something of this much interest," Ronnie Foster, whose company, BlueHorse Solutions LLC, provided the footage of the incident in Phoenix, Arizona, told USA Today.
Police records state the man was left with a fractured spine and head injuries.
Authorities say Wilke called the police half an hour after the incident occured to explain her side of the story.
She said the man she's been in a sexual relationship with had HIV and she'd just found out.
Wilke has been charged with attempted second-degree murder, aggravated assault and leaving the scene of a serious injury accident.
She has pleaded not guilty.

I don't normally agree with vigilantism, but I can understand why she did it. I don't know the circumstances of course but if he knew that he had HIV and lied to her and insisted on safe sex then I can understand why she would run him down. I'm not saying that's what happened by the way but if it is then her reaction is understandable because he has out her life in danger.
Looks like this was in the US, not sure what the laws are there, but here you can be charged with GBH for exposing someone without their consent. Personally, I can see why she's do that - I'd be enraged as well.
