She changed a baby's nappy in a restaurant. Discuss.

She had three children in tow.

Her four-month-old baby had a dirty nappy.

There was no change table in the pizza restaurant.

So, Texas mother Miranda Sowers popped her daughter Reagan in a chair — and changed the baby girl’s nappy right in the middle of the restaurant.

Ms Sowers told KHOU she was alone in Brother’s Pizza Express in Spring, Texas when she realised Reagan needed a change.

She told KHOU: “I thought you know what I’ve got my own changing pad, she’s tiny, she fits right here on the chair.”

“So I laid her down quickly and quietly changed her diaper.”

It’s a decision that quickly proved controversial: according to Sowers, management took offence, packed up her pizza ‘to go’, and asked her to leave.

Manager Donny Lala told KHOU he’d been thinking of the other customers at the time.

“As soon as you start opening the diaper, people start complaining about the smell of the diaper,” Mr Lala said.

“Last thing I want is a customer throwing up.”

The employee who saw it happen, Bessa Lala, told KHOU she couldn’t believe what she’d seen.

“How would you feel?” she said.

“You’re sitting there eating. I don’t want to lose all these other customers because they see a dirty diaper.”

But Ms Sowers filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, which monitors businesses’ customer service practices and settles consumer disputes.

The restaurant has said it may consider installing changing tables in the bathrooms — but according to federal law, restaurants and stores do not need to provide changing tables, the Daily Mail reports.

Whose side are you on?

I think this is disgusting. No nappy shouldnt be changed in any eating area whether there are other people there or not. Go to the car and do it or take the pram to the toilet with the other kids too and change it in the pram (I have done this several times myself to avoid changing in cafes - not easy but more hygenic than changing in an eating area). If no pram or car get the pizza as a takeaway and change the nappy when you get home or ask another cafe if they have a babychange and would they mind if you used it as the pizza place doesnt have one. Just do what you can to find a different solution.
