The Tristan Thompson apology tour has come to its predictable end on the latest season of The Kardashians.
Aside from Kim Kardashian doing too much to keep up with her 'getting your f**king ass up and work' philosophy, this season has been driven by two narratives: Khloé Kardashian making it clear she's not back together with Tristan, and Tristan making it clear he is still sorry for cheating on her multiple times.
This back and forth follows the NBA basketballer moving back in with Khloé and their two young children in January after his mother passed away, which revived speculation the exes had reunited... again.
The first stop on Tristan's apology tour was Kylie Jenner, who didn't just have to grapple with Tristan cheating on her sister (again, multiple times), but also the fact that she lost her best friend, Jordyn Woods, in the process.
In February 2019, Tristan kissed Jordyn at a party which set in motion a sequence of events that resulted in Khloé and Tristan splitting, and Khloé along with other friends and family members publicly calling out Jordyn, who at the time was just 21 years old.
But this wasn't the first time Tristan had cheated — and it wouldn't be the last.
A year earlier, as Khloe was about to give birth to their daughter True, Tristan was caught on camera kissing a woman in a nightclub. Then two years post-Jordyn saga and after Khloé and Tristan had reconciled, he cheated with Maralee Nichols and this time, the woman he cheated with ended up pregnant.
Kylie confirmed on The Kardashians that she's back on friendly terms with Jordyn. "[We] are cool. We still talk and catch up," she said.
The former besties have been photographed together in the past year, but Kylie still had some harsh words for Tristan.
"You do some dumb-ass s**t," Jenner said. "I think you have such a good heart and good energy and to know you is to love you, your spirit and everything, so it is confusing. Because some of the s**t you do is really f**king crazy."
In response, Tristan called himself a "f**king idiot" and admitted "a lot of it was selfish and not understanding the value of good people," he said.
Thompson saved most of his introspective insights for Kourtney Kardashian, who came to their chat with a book full of notes because... what a queen.

After Kourtney asked how Tristan felt after cheating, he replied, "For me personally, when I cheat, I feel disgusted the next day with guilt."
Tristan went on to disclose that he's been in therapy for the past two years where he's worked through the reasons that led him to cheating.
"I was just cheating for an action, just cheating for a feeling, but also it really came down to not knowing how to love, because that’s the way I grew up," the NBA player said.
“I think with therapy I realised... what I saw from my dad, how he would treat my mum, as a kid when you see that, the trauma you have, because you can’t protect your mum because you’re so young and 'cause your mum tells you it’s going to be okay, you basically numb your emotions of being scared or feeling sad. It’s my form of a defence mechanism.”"
He said that growing up, he didn't have any role models of men who didn't cheat on their partners.
It's refreshing to hear a man who can look back at his past to see how it might have informed his present, but it also feels like a slight cop-out to weaponise therapy speak to serve his own interests.
Many people have parents who set a poor example, but they don't necessarily repeat the pattern, let alone cheat and deceive their partner multiple times across the span of many years.
The episode ended on a cliffhanger with Kourtney telling Tristan what we're all thinking.
"I don’t think you deserve Khloé or the actions that you’ve done have been something that she’s deserved," she said.
Amen.
