What were your best and worst bits of the week?

The end of the week and the smell of the weekend in the air.  Can also smell the faint whiff (or should we say aroma) of the new site…..more about that in another post.

It’s really been all stations go Mamamia this week : co-sleeping, the Defence Force sex scandal, new cigarette packets and The Commitment Project and that was just today!.

Over the course of the week, we’ve covered everything from our favourite days of the week, Mark Latham and the Jackie O saga, to the correct length of time for an engagement and our most-loved biographies. We’ve  also discussed shopping bulimia, money problems and the price of milk.

And don’t forget to check out all the Must See Looks from this week.

If you live in Perth, Adelaide or Brisbane you may still be able to get tickets to see the brilliant French Movie Potiche.  Click here to learn more

Now it’s time for best and worst. If you’ve never posted your best and worst before, why not try it this week? It’s wonderfully cathartic  to share the high and low points of your week with strangers and the support you will find in the Mamamia community well, that’s just part of the addiction.

Mia

Best: After months and months and month, it looks like Mamamia 3.0 will go live in the next few days. Cannot WAIT.

Worst: Change makes me nervous.

Lana

Best: I have tried to be very organised at home this week and have made “proper” meals for my family every night this week. It is a joy to sit with my family around the table and eat decent food.

Worst: So little time

Nicky

Best: Sharing my pregnancy news with the Mamamia office. Mia and Jason had tears in their eyes and Lana practically screamed. The office then got a little excited and shared the news on Facebook where hundreds of lovely MM readers congratulated me.

Worst: A friend is going through some really tough financial times, the kind where a small loan won’t be of any assistance and I’m struggling to know what to do or what to say to help.

Rick

Best: Climbing the Sydney Harbour Bridge at night time with the city lit behind me and the moon coming out from the clouds. It was beautiful. I love Sydney even more right now. Thanks again to Julie the lovely reader for passing on the ticket. I’ve also signed a petition to heritage list my climb guide who was gorgeous.

Worst: I had to put together my new bed on Monday night using nothing but my determination, an allen key and several cuss words. I put the bed frame on upside down because I’m a numpty and all I really wanted to do was sleep. I know, hardly a ‘worst’ but it’s been a pretty good week.

Nat

Best: I am going away for the weekend! It will be so nice to get out of the city, even if it’s only for a few days.

Worst: The end of daylight savings.

What about you – what were the best and worst bits of your week?

And here are the pics we are talking about this week:

I'll definitely buy a copy of the French Vogue.

Best: I made the best lasagna of my entire life last night. My man has been bragging and raving about it to everyone, and even admitted it is better than his Mum's lasagna!

Worst: Something is up with my dog. She is suddenly scared of everything, wanting to be held all the time and walks around the house whimpering and pacing. This morning, instead of coming into bed for a snuggle, we found that she was curled up at the bottom of my wardrobe. I have no idea what could be wrong and feel so bad about it.
