Instead of resolutions this year, I’m choosing to have hopes and dreams. Somehow they feel so much more positive. So much less punitive. While I reserve the right to add to this list at any time, here’s what I have so far:
– Holding Bec Sparrow’s baby (due in a month) in my arms and inhaling his intoxicating baby smell and telling him how much he is loved and cherished.
– Cuddling the babies of other friends who have travelled rocky roads to become mothers and looking at the joy in their faces.
– Having one ‘proper’ at-home day a week to spend with my littlest man.
– Writing more…
– Watching, supporting and nurturing the talents of those around me.
– Some compassionate resolution to the awfulness of the asylum seeker debate…to have politicians be leaders on this issue rather than cynical oppportunists.
– For Mamamia to start making a difference when it comes to creating a positive alternative to the way most of the media portray women.
– Establishing a new ebook publishing arm of Mamamia…plans are already underway, more details soon.
– Laughing with my kids.
– Continuing to work harmoniously with my husband.
– Avoiding having to share an office with my husband as Mamamia grows (see point above).
What are your hopes and dreams for this year?

2012 is going to be my year for adventure. I am looking forward to my overseas trip!
I want to focus on being a more positive and happy person. I want to look after myself more, get my body back to health, and help those around me more.
I also want to read more.
Can anyone recommend a good top 100 books? I could use the one at work but I was looking for a broader one....
- Be happy, positive and enjoy life.
- Get involved at university, meet new people and make more of an effort to make friends.
- Be active, consistently, possibly try the C25k program
- Be consistent in working hard at university, less procrastinating!
- Be more body confident and at peace with my body, while continue to treat my body well.
- Learn to drive.
- Travel somewhere and save money to actually travel to that place.
- Post more on Mamamia, I am a daily reader but I would like to post more often and on a wider range of posts.
