Welcome to your Monday watercooler catch up. We want to know how your weekend was – what you watched, what you did, what you thought…..anything at all.
Not everyone has a workplace or a community with whom they can gather and debrief about their weekend and even if you do, we bet they’re not quite as much fun as we are here.
Some of the things that caught our attention, were:
– House Husbands.
Okay, so for a moment there we felt like we were watching Keanu Reeves in Speed (runaway bus anyone?) but House Husbands was definitely better than expected. And really, any series featuring Julia Morris and Gyton Grantley is worth a look. And that’s proven by the numbers, which got released this morning – 1.37m viewers. Wow.
– Father’s Day.
How was your Father’s Day? Did you spend it with your dad? Or maybe for whatever reason – your dad isn’t around, in which case our hearts are with you and we hope you had a gorgeous weekend with the people who care about you.
We had a couple of very different Father’s Day posts over the weekend that you might need to catch up on. This one is for all the dads who have lost children and for whom Father’s Day can be pretty tough, and this one is to remember all the lovely things your dad might have done for you over the years.
So what caught your attention? The good? The bad? The ugly? From pop culture to personal, funny things your kids said, new clothes you bought or delicious things you ate or cooked…..speak up.

House Husbands was a shocker, stereotypical bumbling dads and even more stereotypical women. He washed the dishes with a hose, FFS. For a better and funnier review than i can do go here.

I LOVE Monday's Watercooler post....
Ok, "hello there", if anybody's listening.... and if you're not, then "Hello" in any case.... feeling delirious.... excuse me....
Had an AMAZING weekend cooking and eating and eating and cooking.... great Father's Day arvo tea, hosted by my brother and his gorgeous GF.... I cooked 2 things - a Mint Chunk Rocky Road (which has since been dubbed by many of the guests at the arvo tea as "the best thing you've ever made Phoodie" and also some Chocolate dipped roast almond rolled ricotta stuffed cannoli (dubbed by me as "freaking awesome") Both recipes simple AS and both VERY impressive to look at too!
