It’s been quite a week for our favourite no-holds-barred songstress, Beyoncé.
Since the Grammy-Award winning singer dropped her new visual album Lemonade last week, she has faced a slew of “did he or didn’t he” rumours about whether or not Jay Z cheated on her.
Fingers were pointed to American fashion designer Rachel Roy after she insinuated via Instagram that she could be the fabled “Becky with the good hair”, the woman Beyoncé claimed her man cheated on her with in her song “Sorry”.

British singer, Rita Ora was also suspected of being the “Becky” in question, a claim the star quickly denied.
Now, Beyoncé has added fuel to the fire by showing up at yesterday’s Museum of Metrpolitan Art Costume Institute Gala, sans wedding ring.
Yep, that’s right. There was no wedding ring on the 34-year-old’s ring finger.
The singer also arrived at the event alone, a contrast to last year when she had husband Jay Z by her side. And the year before, the security footage of the infamous elevator fight between Jay Z and Beyoncé's sister Solange Knowles surfaced hours after the event.
Fans were quick to notice that the mother-of-one was without her AUD 6.6 million ring, which had been replaced with a peach-coloured, tear-shaped jewel instead.
Perhaps the reason is simple. Perhaps Beyoncé was all about the colour coordination between her peach dress and her similar-toned jewellery.
Or, perhaps it was a statement -- showing up alone, wearing no ring, Bey knew what she was doing.
Page Six reported it's not the first time Beyoncé has forgone her wedding ring since she and Jay Z -- real name Shawn Carter -- married in 2008.
"While that would seem rather convenient – brand synergy at its best — a more likely explanation is that the pop star just didn’t feel that the ring meshed well with her custom-made Givenchy Haute Couture by Riccardo Tisci gown," the publication wrote.
The speculation comes just days after Beyoncé kicked off her Formation world tour, where she dedicated the song, "Halo" to her husband.
"I want to dedicate this to my beautiful husband,” she said on April 27. “I love you so much.”
Along with the missing wedding ring, fans also made a connection between the colour of Beyoncé's dress and a certain woman mentioned in her album.
Can't a woman just go solo to an event in peace? Well, if you're Beyoncé, you can't.
