American tabloids are reporting that Portia De Rossi has spent time in a rehab facility to deal with issues related to alcohol and prescription pills.
Portia reportedly entered the Promises facility in Malibu in early May for 30 days, with Ellen visiting her weekly.
Portia has never denied that she has struggled. She has spent years dealing with personal issues that stemmed from the eating disorder, anorexia.
“I didn’t decide to become anorexic. It sneaked up on me disguised as a healthy diet, a professional attitude. I didn’t decide to not be anorexic either. I decided not to die,” she has said.
But since marrying Ellen Degeneres, we have seen Portia move out of the dark place she was once in. In 2011 Portia said “I thank God for Ellen every day – she has enabled me to be exactly who I am.”
In an attempt to perhaps put their issues behind them, Ellen and Portia have gone on holiday to Europe and are currently in Croatia. The couple are yet to make comment on the incident.
