The story of Vitalii Sediuk, the man who has assaulted Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio and Kim Kardashian.

In 2012, Ukrainian self-described prankster and former media reporter Vitalii Sediuk decided to forcefully kiss Will Smith at the Men in Black 3 premiere.

It began a long list of harassment, assault and intimidating behaviour from Sediuk, who made it his mission to harass Hollywood's elite for his own perverse entertainment.

With cameras watching him, Sediuk kissed Will Smith on the red carpet, with Smith slapping him in response and yelling: "What the hell is your problem, man?" 

Smith then told reporters watching on: "He tried to kiss me on the mouth. He's lucky I didn't try to sucker punch him. Sorry, I said that on camera."

The following year, things escalated.

Sediuk had managed to find his way into the crowd at the 2013 Grammy Awards, deciding to rush up on stage before Adele accepted her award. He was shooed away by Jennifer Lopez who was presenting. He was then charged with willfully leaving a spectator area and entering a performance area and interfering and delaying program participants. 

He pleaded no contest and was given a six-month suspended sentence. But he didn't learn his lesson. 

If anything, his behaviour worsened over the next six years.

January 2014: Vitalii Sediuk attacks Bradley Cooper.

Sediuk somehow made his way onto the red carpet at the 20th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards in Los Angeles. Once on the carpet, he wrapped his arms around an unsuspecting Bradley Cooper and nestled his face into the actor's crotch.

Cooper was visibly uncomfortable, appearing to try and laugh off the moment as his co-stars looked on in disbelief. Actors around him then began to help Cooper wrangle Sediuk off the actor's legs. 

At the time, Sediuk was a reporter for Ukraine TV channel 1+1.

February 2014: Vitalii Sediuk attacks Leonardo DiCaprio.

A month after the Bradley Cooper incident, Sediuk attacked Leonardo DiCaprio at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival by burying his face into DiCaprio's groin area without consent.

After a few seconds, he was removed from the premises by security. 

In that same month, Sediuk also stormed the Prabal Gurung runway show at New York Fashion Week wearing nothing but a g-string and was arrested for trespassing.

May 2014: Vitalii Sediuk attacks America Ferrera.

Unfortunately, America Ferrera's first appearance at the Cannes Film Festival was overshadowed by the actions of Sediuk, when he stuck his head under her white gown on the red carpet.

It occurred during the How to Train Your Dragon 2 premiere at The Palais des Festivals and the assault took place in front of hundreds of cameras and press. Sediuk was quickly grabbed by security and arrested.

Ferrera was standing next to Cate Blanchett, who was the first to turn around to attempt to push him away, and quickly turned to make sure Ferrera was alright. Ferrera says most of the cast members she was at the premiere with immediately checked in with her. 

"They were all so supportive. They all just wanted to know I was okay," she told The Hollywood Reporter.

There were calls for Sediuk to be charged with sexual assault, and he was eventually fired from his job at Ukrainian TV channel 1+1. 

May 2014: Vitalii Sediuk attacks Brad Pitt.

A week or so after the America Ferrera event, Sediuk had Brad Pitt in his sights. The attack occurred at the Maleficent premiere in Los Angeles, with Pitt there to support his then-wife Angelina Jolie. 

According to those on the scene, Sediuk jumped the barrier, got onto the red carpet and decided to hug and then hit Pitt. Police later said: "The attacker struck [Pitt] in the face". Security then wrestled Sediuk to the ground, where he was then arrested on suspicion of battery.

Pitt's team requested a restraining order against Sediuk, which was granted by the courts.

In a statement at the time about the ordeal, Pitt said: "I was at the end of the line signing autographs, when out the corner of my eye I saw someone stage-diving over the barrier at me. I took a step back; this guy had latched onto my lapels. I looked down, and the nutter was trying to bury his face in my crotch, so I cracked him twice in the back of the head – not too hard – but enough to get his attention, because he did let go. I think he was then just grabbing for a handhold because the guys were on him, and he reached up and caught my glasses."

Sediuk was held on charges of assault and battery and also charged with unlawful activity at a sporting, theatrical event, or exhibition. Sediuk pled no contest to all charges and was sentenced to 20 days of community service, $440 in court costs, and ordered to undergo psychological counseling for one year. 

September 2014: Vitalii Sediuk attacks Kim Kardashian.

In 2014, Sediuk grabbed Kim's legs as she arrived at the Balmain fashion show in Paris with Kanye West and Kris Jenner. Again, Kim's security stepped in to stop him. 

Then in September 2016, Sediuk attacked Kardashian again, trying to kiss her bottom before being stopped by her bodyguard.

October 2015: Vitalii Sediuk attacks Miranda Kerr.

In October, Kerr was attending a Louis Vuitton runway show in Paris when she was attacked by Sediuk. He had decided to sneak up and kiss her without consent on the cheek.

September 2016: Vitalii Sediuk attacks Gigi Hadid.

Sediuk grabbed the model and lifted her up into the air as she left a Milan Fashion Week show. But Hadid managed to give him a swift and hard elbow to the face.

Hadid, her sister Bella, and their security were in shock, with Hadid screaming when he grabbed her: "What the f**k?" Bella then said: "Let go of her!"

When they managed to get him off her, and he tried to run away, Hadid said: "Who the f**k are you, you piece of s**t."

In an statement to The Hollywood Reporter regarding the incident, Sediuk actually had the gall to defend his attack on Hadid.

"While I consider Gigi Hadid beautiful, she and her friend Kendall Jenner have nothing to do with high fashion. By doing this, I encourage the fashion industry to put true talents on the runway and Vogue covers instead of well-connected cute girls from Instagram," Sediuk said.

"You can call it a manifest or a protest. This is also a wake-up call for Anna Wintour, who turned Vogue into a tabloid by putting the Kardashians and other similar celebrities on a cover of a well-respected magazine."

October 2019: Vitalii Sediuk attacked Justin Timberlake. 

Once again at a fashion show, Sediuk confronted Justin Timberlake while he was with his wife Jessica Biel, attempting to tackle the singer and grabbing hold of Timberlake's leg. 

Security managed to pull Sediuk off Timberlake, but a source close to the star told E! News that he and his wife were "understandably shaken up and startled" after the ordeal. 

Throughout these attacks, Sediuk has not gone to jail, nor faced serious consequences. He continues to post gossip entertainment stories and opinions online in the form of videos. 

He simply sees himself as a "prankster".

But is anyone laughing?
