Every week there seems to be a new viral marriage proposal video – but this one is next level.

US video game enthusiast Austin Piech proposed to his girlfriend Lauren Woodrick recently by creating a personalised game – and he filmed the entire (super sweet) proposal.

Yes, the camerawork is a bit rough – because Austin’s hands were shaking with nerves the whole time. But it’s definitely worth a look.

The unsuspecting Lauren thought she was testing a video game that her partner had been building.

But what she didn’t realise was that each level would be based on a meaningful aspect of their relationship – such as their first date, holidays and even the song Austin’s own grandfather proposed to his grandmother with.

She also didn’t know that her engagement ring was hidden just behind the computer the whole time.

Once she completed the game, the words “It’s dangerous to go alone. Take this!” flashed on the screen, and Austin presented her with her sparkler, and asked her to marry him.

A tearful Lauren nods yes before trying on her new ring.
