Okay, picture this. You’re out for dinner at the pub. At a table near you, there’s a group of friends, one with a young boy.
During the meal, the boy needs to go to the toilet, so his mum, naturally…
Sets up the potty and lets the child do his business there.
A Mumsnet user calling herself Todayistuesday had exactly that experience just a few days ago.
“Last night, having a meal at seven in a nice pub and a parent got their child to use the potty by their table,” she posted. “This isn't normal, is it?!”

A big no to allowing your child to use the potty in the dining area. Take it to the bathroom. However just a point about children 'looking old enough to go to the toilet'. Due to medical reasons my daughter toilet trained late so please don't assume a child can just go to the toilet because they're 3 or 4 etc... But no, I don't agree with having a potty in a dining area of a pub.
Totally disgusting and unhygienic, these same people would be freaking out if someone did this next to them.
