Tracy Grimshaw is recovering after her horse riding accident early Thursday morning. The A Current Affair host tweeted her thanks to supporters and thanked God she was wearing a helmet at the time of the incident.

A Current Affair host Tracy Grimshaw has been airlifted to hospital following a horse-riding accident on Thursday morning in Sydney.
The Daily Telegraph reports that Grimshaw was wearing a helmet when she was reportedly thrown from a horse on a property that she apparently owns. The horse was spooked by a lawnmower, The Daily Telegraph said.
Grimshaw was reportedly unconscious for 15 minutes following the accident, and was taken to a nearby hospital by CareFlight in a stable condition.
“Tracy had a horse-riding accident this morning and was taken to hospital by CareFlight,” a Nine spokesperson said.

I'm glad Tracey is ok. It must have been terribly frightening for her. Horse riding is a risky endeavour and a helmet is an essential, thankfully Tracey had the good sense to wear one and it did a fine job for her. No riding helmet can ever make up for a horse who does not have the skills to control himself. A horse who's anxious and reactive when he's asked to do something simple like move forward when asked, becomes exponentially worse when even more is asked of him, like stay calm around a lawnmower. Don't EVER ignore the little things even if you wear a helmet!
Helmets are so essential! I rode and owned horses for years - I don't care how good a rider you are - accidents can happen and helmets save lives! Speedy recovery to Tracy!
