Revealed: The true identity of Andy’s mum in Toy Story will break your brain.

US blogger Jon Negroni is a bit of a Pixar buff and now he’s focused his attention on the Toy Story movie series and what he has found? Makes a great series EVEN BETTER.

Andy’s mum is referred to as Mrs Davis in the Toy Story movie series. She is a loving presence who is also firm with her son when she needs to be. She’s caring, involved and she loves a good garage sale. We quickly realise she is a single mother of two children, Andy and his little sister Molly. However little else is known. Negroni writes:

It all started with a hat. Several months ago, one of my anonymous Pixar Theory Interns (that’s a thing, of course) came to me with a crazy proposition: Andy’s mom is Emily, Jessie’s previous owner. I laughed. Then I agreed.

Let’s go through the clues together and see if you agree with Negroni’s theory that Emily is the previous owner of cowgirl toy Jessie. If he’s right, we’d love to see a Toy Story movie based on her childhood. Prepare yourselves.

Pixar has placed subtle mysteries in their stories before, so Negroni’s clues could be spot on. He says, “We don’t know the first name of Andy’s mom and we don’t know Emily’s last name. But we know that Andy’s and Emily’s hats are the same and that Emily is old enough to be Andy’s mom. We definitely know that Pixar is capable of sneaking something like this into a movie without being overt about it.”

So, do you believe that Andy’s mother, Ms Davis could in fact be Emily, the previous owner of Jessie?

I don't know how many times I've seen those movies, I had no idea!
