Just wait until you hear what genre it’s going to be.
The Toy Story 4 movie isn’t expected to hit screens for another two years, but there has been an unexpected twist in the movie’s development that means we have to talk about it now.
When there was first word of a number 4 being added to the series, many people said they didn’t want it because the third movie had been a perfect, rounded finish to the trilogy.
But now we’ve found out that Toy Story 4 isn’t going to ruin that, it isn’t going to interrupt the perfectly tied up tale of the toys, it’s going to do something much worse.
In an interview with Disney Latino, Pixar President Jim Morris said that the next film would only have slight ties to the original three movies starring Woodie and Buzz Lightyear. (We're wondering if Andy will even get a gig). The producer said that he agreed that the third movie completed the trilogy so perfectly that this fourth movie wouldn't be a part of the initial narrative.
"We are putting together a very nice story. It is not a continuation of the end of the story of Toy Story 3," he told the Latino publication.
Jim then revealed the new genre of the next film in.
"It will be a love story. It will be a romantic comedy. It will not make much focus on the interaction between characters and children. I think it will be a very good movie," he told Disney Latino.
