Tony Abbott was campaigning in the marginal seat of Lindsay today; a seat which is currently held by Labor’s David Bradbury.
But Tony Abbott doesn’t think you should vote for Mr Bradbury. Oh no he doesn’t. He wants you to vote for the Liberal Party candidate Fiona Scott. Why?
Because Fiona’s totes hot.
Mr Abbott decided to compare Ms Scott’s credentials to those of the last Liberal Party member to hold the seat, Jackie Kelly. They’re both women so they’re basically the same person anyway, right.
In drawing a favourable comparison between these two highly credentialed women, Mr Abbott said that they were both young and feisty, and “I could probably say they have a bit of sex appeal.”
Face. Palm.

I love that Tony is real, Kevin is a little too scripted and fake for my liking. I will be voting for Fiona Scott as I live in Lindsay, I had the chance to meet her at my local Westfields, she was smart, articulate, and was genuinely interested in what I had to say. And yes, she is attractive, so what?!?!?! It's only stating the obvious. Would people care if he mentioned that a male candidate had sex appeal? I think not.
People wouldn't even say that about a man in the first place, that's the point
So what if they don't?
When women, and not men, are validated on the basis of their appearance, this is sexism.
So commenting on Tony's ears and Joe Hockey's weight are not commenting on their appearance I'm so over the hypocritical attacks on conservatives while left wing women in politics can say whatever they like.
