She's not disturbed by it (and it is reality after all!) so why is there all of this ruckus about 'why can't kids be kids' etc etc?
A child takes as normal and natural what and how the parents communicate information to them. If the child asks a question and you freak out about it, or become uncomfortable or treat the situation like it's something bad/disgusting/undesirable/whatever, they will easily pick up on that and this is what they'll learn about the facts of life - mum/dad/caregiver is being weird about it, something must be wrong with that stuff so this must be the way it is.
My daughter has been taught about private areas and their proper names, she knows (because she's constantly followed me into the bathroom since she could crawl) that when you are older you bleed each month. She, like the little girl in the video, knows that babies come out of your vagina and even sometimes out of your tummy (she was C Section so I really needed to include that). I gave her the simplest of facts in a normal tone and she didn't even flinch when I told her the Doc had to take her out of my tummy, not my vagina, because she got stuck. What I DIDN'T say is that the Doc used a knife, or that I could feel it, or anything gory or confronting or age inappropriate. She just needs the basics until she's older.
Chill out, Parents!
What a cutie!
Did she ask how the baby got there in the first place?
No,but she should be told,so she can give an informative and accurate speech about how and why a baby is coming out of mummy's vagina!
Maybe the parents can even give a demonstration. Why not?
It is natural and normal after all!
