The world of beauty moves quickly. It seems like every single day, there is some new product to try.
As someone who often gets to try out new cosmetics, I've become accustomed to looking beyond the hype and studying the ingredients and quality of every cream, powder or liquid I put on my face.
In saying that, there's nothing more important than finding products that work for you and standing by them because when it works, you don't want to ever give that up.
For the last few weeks, I've been putting The KIND Collective up to the test against some of my holy grails that I've been using for years... you guys, I'm seriously impressed.
If you're a makeup and skincare lover, then you understand the importance of investing time and money into what you put on your face. You don't want to sacrifice quality but sometimes we just want an affordable option as well and I've found that in The KIND Collective.
As soon as I read that the brand is B Corp certified, cruelty-free and vegan, I was immediately interested in whatever they wanted to sell me.
I've been testing four beauty products from The KIND Collective, which is about providing results that show just how beautiful you are with or without makeup.
Yup, that's right. They sell makeup infused with skincare ingredients at an affordable price point, with nothing in their everyday range over $30.
And after testing them for myself, I wanted to share with you my thoughts...
The KIND Collective Lip and Cheek Tint in Berry Glow, $17.
There is a lip and cheek tint from the beauty brand that has just launched and it is FANTASTIC.
I've been able to get my hands on the Berry Glow shade and it is stunning. With a balmy texture, it's a multi-tasking product made with hyaluronic acid to hydrate the lips and your skin.
It's a pigmented formula you can apply with your fingertips, a beauty sponge or a brush (I prefer to use a stippling brush and dip right into the pan).
These babies aren't just made to leave your makeup looking flawless, they also include a unique formula that promotes your skin health with hyaluronic acid, vitamin E, jojoba (my favourite thing EVER for my skin) and kakadu plum for nourishment and protection for the skin barrier.
They advise everyone to warm the product on their fingertips to gently pat the colour across the lips, cheeks or eyelids but I'm a fan of applying a little dollop right onto my cheek and blending out with a sponge or brush as well.
The KIND Collective Miracle Glo Skin Serum in Champagne, $20.
I got my hands on the Miracle Glo Skin Serum in the shade Champagne and it is LIFE CHANGING.
I'm not a natural girly when it comes to makeup. I either roll out of bed and turn up to work with my teeth barely brushed or I spend an insane amount of time meticulously applying products to my face.
But this serum has changed the game for me. It has the benefits of a primer with the megawatt glow of a highlighter and ALSO the collagen-boosting properties of a plumping hyaluronic acid! I mix it with a light-coverage BB cream to give me a glow, a natural-looking base and a bit of plumpness to the skin.
With added skin benefits of kakadu plum, kangaroo paw and vitamin E, it's the perfect base product to reach for if you want to look like you put in the work without actually... putting in much work at all.
The KIND Collective Prep and Protect Mist with Blue Light Protection, $19.
I'm always looking to give my skin a boost and pairing the Prep and Protect Mist from The KIND Collective is something I've become obsessed with in recent weeks.
It's basically a way to help improve the wear of your makeup while also offering a skin refresh. It has natural anti-blue light ingredients to protect skin from the stresses of short-wave blue light (think your mobile phone or computer at work).
It's packed with awakening coffee seed extract, brightening kakadu plum, plus soothing aloe vera and chamomile.
It's real good.
The KIND Collective Natural Mineral Foundation Powder in Light Medium, $30.
I never really paid attention to powder foundation before this bad boy came out.
Not only does it have SPF15 and Blue Light Protection (for just $30!!!), but it also offers a luminous, long-lasting glow that lasts.
I've always thought that mineral powder foundations were too drying on the skin, but the Natural Mineral Foundation Powder is lightweight and offers buildable coverage whilst also getting rid of my visible pores and giving me a beautiful skin-like look.
The KIND Collective packed a punch with this baby as the ingredients are mind-blowingly good and include nourishing jojoba, vitamin E, and pore-refining kaolin. I like to use a brush (you can pick up the mini mineral powder brush for only $12) to dust and blend powder over the skin. I also use a flat blending sponge to pack it on in areas where coverage is needed.
It's a game-changer.
