Here is the gay kiss that everyone is talking about. It was featured on prime time American television, hardly a subtle affair when gay partners are hardly featured anywhere on television over there. The two characters, Kurt and Blaine, came together after weeks of tension between the pair and, predictably, it caused an uproar in the States.
It wasn’t, however, the first gay kiss on Glee but it was the first one involving two characters who loved each other. The first was an uncomfortable moment when Kurt’s high school bully kissed him during a moment when he apparently let his closeted homosexuality out. Interesting.
And if you missed it last week, Gwyneth Paltrow was back on Glee:

I thought it was interesting what other people my age (15)thought of it.
I'd been waiting for Kurt and Blaine to get together for a long time, and when they kissed I had to admit I did a bit of fangirl-ish screaming while jumping up and down. It was so cute, I'm glad the writers didn't conceal it with metphors, just treated it like a normal kiss.
One of my friends texted me with "OMFG! That was adorable!!", however, talking to another friend the next day, I got quite a different response. I asked her what she thought and she said it was "cute, but you know, kinda gross." When I asked why she just shrugged and said it was because they were gay. I pointed out that all the other hetero characters kiss all the time, and she said "Yeah, I'm fine with that. I don't hate gay people, I just don't like it when they shove it in my face like that." Oh man, there was so much I could have said in response to that. I mean, when a guy and a girl kiss, does anyone ever accuse them of "shoving their heterosexuality in my face"? And just because they're gay doesn't mean they're trying to "convert" you or say that gays are better or whatever.
In my opinion, a kiss is a kiss, whether it's girl/guy, guy/guy or girl/girl!
what a beautiful moment.
