They’re baaaaaaack.
They were the couple that divided opinion and now, after twelve months away from the camera, The Block twins Alisa and Lysandra Fraser are back.
The former winning duo who hail from Adelaide are set to hit our screens from February 13 in their very own renovation series, Open House.
The series is a spin-off from the show that made them famous. The twins will use their design expertise to turn run-down houses around quickly on a budget of $10,000.
But it doesn’t stop there.
As the popularity of The Block has grown exponentially since it first aired 12 years ago, Channel Nine is set to launch up to five versions of the series this year alone.
This will involve a weekly spin-off series, called The Block Open House, Fairfax Media has confirmed, in addition to the main version of the series, The Block Triple Threat, which will continue to air four nights each week. A second season of each of these shows is also set to air in the second half of the year, provided that ratings are good.
On top of these shows, Renovation Rumble is also tipped to air later in the year. And, although this is not strictly a version of The Block, it does have the same team of producers and will feature former Block contestants with the aim of rivalling Channel Seven's House Rules.
