Blockheads rejoice 'cos the renovation reality sensation is back!

Yep, The Block has been filming the up-and-coming 19th season of the hit TV series and we're here to give you all the goss in the lead-up to the premiere.

We have it on good authority that the show is officially dialling back the clocks and transporting us back to the 1950s for a brand new season of renovation magic. 

While we wait for the season to actually start, let us fill in all the details and introduce you to the five new teams you'll be watching this year on The Block.

So without further ado, meet the teams battling it out for the best auction price!

Meet Gian and Steph from The Block.

This couple is representing their home state of New South Wales as the 'Blue Team'.

Gian comes from a background in finance, and although seemingly unrelated, this will pose a great advantage when budgeting for their build. Whereas partner Steph owns her own architecture firm, which is undoubtedly a powerful combination for the competition.

Meet Eliza and Liberty from The Block.

The only all-female duo on the season are representing their home state of Victoria as the 'Purple Team'.

Eliza is a personal assistant and her sister Liberty is an integration producer. Will this sister-duo be able to navigate the pressures of the competition together? We'll have to wait and see!

Meet Kyle and Leslie from The Block.

Representing their home state of Western Australia are Kyle, a 36-year-old firefighter and Leslie, a 34-year-old teaching aid – AKA the 'Green Team'.

Together the pair are a dynamic husband and wife duo, eager to get their hands dirty. But don't underestimate this team, they've learned a thing or two about juggling life as hardworking parents – a strength that will likely come in handy during the chaos of the season's build.

So get ready to be entertained by their awe-inspiring build as they push the boundaries of design and construction. 

Meet Kristy and Brett from The Block.

If you're looking for a couple that has experience in navigating stressful environments and some seriously top-tier organisational skills, look no further than Kristy and Brett. 

The 34-year-old pair are combining the skills that Kristy possesses as a Project Manager with that of her husband Brett who is a safety officer outside of the competition. An injury-free build is nothing to snub your nose at – if this pair can plan and execute their plan safely, without any issues, they may pull off the competition's smoothest build yet.

Representing the state of South Australia as the 'Red Team', will Kristy and Brett be crowned the best Blockheads this season?
