We're back for another huge week on The Block, and this time our Blockheads have tackled their guest bedrooms.

Steph and Gian had a better time dealing with the challenges of Week 2 after their horror of needing to go through three builders last week.

The pair were also dealing with the body corporate after having their father Nick do some work in their bathroom without being properly inducted, or paid.

Thankfully, everything turned out okay in the end for everyone except for Kyle who says he will 'never be best friends with Leah.'

Now let's get to these guest bedrooms, shall we?

Kyle and Leslie

Money spent: $27,051.

The size of Kyle and Leslie's room made an immediate impression on Shaynna, Darren and Marty who were big fans.

From the artwork to the lighting and the wardrobes, Shaynna felt Kyle and Leslie had made some incredible creative decisions.

"It is so sexy," Shaynna said, admiring the plastering and curved walls. "When they understand the texture [and] the layers, you didn't need to say anything else other than, 'Fill me.'"

Marty added that he felt "anchored" in the room and Darren said the space was "bigger than my first apartment by 50 per cent."

However, the judges weren't a fan of the Pilates studio and questioned the purpose of it. Despite it being chic and serene, Darren struggled with the couple's layout decisions.

Marty, in particular, felt it was a wasted opportunity to add a kitchenette and make the space a fully self-contained studio.

"There are some amenities that are missing here that force the occupant to go back into the main house," he said. "Buyers will penalise that."

The judges also didn't like the carpets in the room, especially considering the studio will eventually lead to the pool in later weeks.

Leah and Ash

Money spent: $21,094.

The judges were fans of the timber flooring choice the couple had made, along with the artwork.

"These floors are gorgeous," said Darren. "That's lovely."

However, that's where the compliments ended.

Shaynna wasn't a fan of the layout.

"It's a really odd placement of furniture," she noted. "We've got five side tables, two chairs and no one can talk to each other... You're facing nothing."

Darren said the studio gave him "display home vibes" and that the placing of the furniture was all wrong.

"This is giving me... a real estate showroom kind of vibe," he declared and Marty agreed.

"It's not wanting to pull me in and sit down and entertain the guests," he said.

Darren summed up the space as a "sitting area for an entertainment zone with no entertainment."

He felt the bed that comes out of the wall was a bad choice.

"This isn't hitting the mark from a buyer's perspective," Marty added.

Shaynna felt the studio design had no connection to their dark and bold bathroom from last week.

Kristy and Brett

Money spent: $30,895.

While Marty said the space felt like a New York City loft, Darren loved the design on the roof of the second-story window and the olive colour palette impressed Shaynna, they all had their serious concerns.

Darren noted that the layout felt wrong, and that the couple should have added a rug.

"It feels... sparse," he said.

Shaynna felt the room had no connection to their Moroccan bathroom from the week before.

"I really don't want to look at a sink," she said of the bed facing the kitchen worktop. "I feel like the layout isn't making the most of this feel."

Marty agreed and asked where the couch and the TV were.

"If I'm actually going to be in here for more than just sleeping, do I really want to just sit here and study?" he questioned. "It's just not actually utilising the space."

Steph and Gian

Money spent: $23,822.

Steph and Gian's space impressed the judges, who felt it was a big improvement on last week's guest bathroom.

"This is cosy," Marty immediately noted.

One feature they adored was the beams in this week's room, although they weren't a fan previously.

"Now the beams work," Shaynna said, although Darren didn't feel like they had to be there.

"I think they're purely an architectural design feature," he noted. "I don't know that it works."

Shaynna, however, completely disagreed and Darren did end up changing his mind.

"I love it," she exclaimed.

As a real estate agent, Marty felt the space would work as an extra bedroom and be a big benefit to the team at auction time.

"I would love to be in here," he said.

Shaynna loved Steph's architectural work, saying: "It's not a self-contained area, but I think it's a perfect, beautiful wing... I feel like she has put the right level of architect, the right level of contestant and the right level of warmth and understanding of the market... That's pretty hard to tick all those boxes and I love it."

Although, she noted that more hanging space should be added.

"I don't think you need [these] display shelves," she said.

Eliza and Liberty

Money spent: $21,518.

The judges liked that Eliza and Liberty's studio space was fully self-contained, with a sink, kitchen and microwave.

"Wow, this is really different," Shaynna said.

Darren added it was "pool appropriate", saying it was a space you could live in and a place you could study in as well.

The layout and styling were a big concern though.

The wallpaper, which featured a map of Melbourne but not Hampton East, was called "juvenile" by Marty.

"What I don't understand about the wallpaper is I saw that the very first Block that I did," Shaynna said.

She didn't like the rug either, saying it didn't feel sophisticated. Being able to see the microwave on display was a big no as well.

"I'm just finding this part here is a really cheap motel part," she continued.

Marty, in particular, thought the pair would have been better off if they had presented a room with nothing in it.

"Everything for me does not feel luxurious enough to command the pricing that these properties will be at," he said.

The judges agreed it didn't feel luxurious enough for a house of this size in the Hampton East, although Shaynna noted the "flooring is divine".

The scores were tallied and it was Steph and Gian who ended up taking the win.

In total, the pair won $10,000, a Kelly bag worth $30,000  and a Ford getaway to the Yarra Valley worth $10,000.
