The Block's infamous Hell Week was back again, and to say it caused havoc on the contestants would be... an understatement.

While the Blockheads got stuck into their powder rooms, laundries and hallways, the mud continued to be The Block's biggest enemy.

As it always does, the drama continued to rear its ugly head - this time between Oz and Foreman Dan. After being accused by Dan of hiding mistakes on their build, Oz was not a happy contestant. To make matters worse, several issues this week made it impossible for them to finish their mudrooms (despite trying so hard to finish).

In fact, none of the contestants finished their spaces.

This week was, in short, one hell of a week for the Blockheads.

Without further ado, here are all the photos from The Block's powder rooms, laundries and hallways:

Tom and Sarah-Jane.

After stepping into House One's entrance hall, the judges were thoroughly impressed with how the pair mixed the old and the new.

The detail was a marvel for Darren, Shaynna and Neale.

Darren thought the breezeway actually felt "useful" while Shaynna noted she probably wouldn't sit there often.

"You wouldn't read a book here because you've got that gorgeous view," she said before adding, "but I think having a fireplace here is actually going to help heat this place."

Neale praised the couple for "understanding dimension".

"They understand how to fill a space and that is something we've seen other contestants on The Block struggle with," he said.

Darren had an issue with the square-set ceiling as it was rounded but the judges understood there would be defects due to the intensity of Hellway week.

The judges loved their artwork and the mudroom.

Rachel and Ryan

Rachel and Ryan seriously impressed the judges with their entrance. It was a shame they couldn't finish, Shaynna noted.

The nook was a favourite for Shaynna who felt the functionality was perfect. She was also a huge fan of the space's practicality.

"I'm loving the practicality of the storage space... That's a lot of storage," she said.

"It's so clever how they've played with the ceiling too," said Darren who made a note of the raked ceiling opening up the space. "It's such a lovely flow, visually. It's heaven, this house."

The mudroom was a marvel too, as the judges loved the bench top and wish they used it for their kitchen.

"They could have won kitchen week with this level of warmth," said Darren.

Neale thought House Two was turning into one of the best houses on The Block... and Rachel was glad they'd finally joined the club.

Neale liked the entrance hallway upon walking in as to him, it has always had a "gothic, camp" vibe to it. Shaynna disagreed.

By the time they got to the rest of the hallways, the judges were shocked. They hated the black tinned metal.

"This is horrible," said Shaynna. "I'm sorry, this makes it feel like a cheap film set and it brings down the quality of the drama in those other rooms."

The judge went on to criticise everything in the room - from the random plant in the hallway to the square-set ceiling.

"The fact that they were gifted the most divine, detailed archways... Where are they?" she said.

Neale however appreciated how "polarising" the pair's styling is and felt like they could have given him "more."

Darren felt there were redeemable qualities to the pair's hallway. "I think the black on that panelling is very harsh. It's the hardness in here that is working against the space," he said.

The judges loved the pair's mudroom and laundry though, especially the tiles.

"The styling in here is really good," Shaynna said. "I quite like it."

She also loved the powder room, saying the pair had slightly redeemed themselves.

Dylan and Jenny.

Darren, Shaynna and Neale loved the 40-metre hallway, labelling it grand and traditional, without being dated.

"I love this hallway," Darren said. "It's a loveable hallway."

Neale agreed, saying, "this does feel more like a traditional hallway, for the first time today."

Shaynna was a huge fan of all the "divine" artwork.

Moving on to the laundry and mudroom, Shaynna noted the "lovely tiles" and Neale added that he had them in his own home.

"It's really gorgeous. It feels really coherent, really complete," said Darren. Neale agreed, saying: "It's perfection."

While the pair hadn't finished, there was so much promise.

If Dylan and Jenny had completely finished the hallway, they would have been able to get three 10s.

Upon walking into House Five, the judges noted the "completely different proportions" from the rest of the houses... and they liked it.

"[It's] much tighter than Dylan and Jenny's place," noted Darren before Neale added: "It still has that imposing presence as a proper hallway."

There were so many details the judges loved, labelling their cornices, ceiling, and windows "heaven".

"It's actually beautiful," said Shaynna as she walked through the hallway into the kitchen.

There were mistakes though, including the ornate skirting stopping at the end of the hallway.

The judges were obsessed with the ceiling and Shaynna loved the "sweet" powder room... if it had been finished.

"It feels like luxury," said Darren.

Again, Shaynna questioned how the pair were able to afford their rooms.

The mudroom being incomplete disappointed the judges, who felt it would have been "a pretty good space".

After the judges' scores were tallied, Dylan and Jenny took out the win, making it their very first on The Block.

Scott Cam felt the contestants deserved a break and decided the next room they need to get done will be another guest bedroom.
