1. Town mourns loss of two teenagers and mother mourns loss of a second son.
The NSW town of Tenterfield is mourning the loss of two teenagers who died after their ute crashed at Glen Aplin in southwest Queensland, just 45km from their hometown on Saturday night.
And sadly it is not the first time tragedy has struck one of the families – with the older brother of one of the boys dying just five years earlier.
Zak Sweetman, 18, and Luke Smith, 16, who attended Tenterfield High School were in the ute carrying four teenage boys, that ran off the road twice, eventually repeatedly rolling and end up 20m away in a paddock around 11.30pm.
Two of the occupants survived the crash.
Tragically five years ago Zac’s big brother Brendan died, aged 17, after he jumped into a waterhole at NSW’s Boonoo Boonoo National Park reports The Northern Daily Leader.
“It’s a tragedy that is beyond understanding, but the reality is we have families that are now impacted, tragically, in a way no family should be,” Inspector Brian Cannon said.
“We have no suggestion another vehicle was involved.”
Locals have paid tribute to Zac and Luke on social media.
“It’s heartbreaking seeing my family and in-laws devastated and not being able to do a thing to help, but it’s comforting to know they have a whole town full of love to support them. RIP Zak & Luke xo,” Amanda Condrick wrote on Facebook.
“Rest in piece (sic) Zakky Sweetman! I’m sure Brendan Sweetman will be looking after you up there. One Life, One Chance,” Sarah Musumeci said on Facebook.

Interesting news this week, the Taliban make an app&its removed? Yet when theres porn pop ups on peoples sites, its fine? Okay then...Maybe that comes under the heading of information&educational?
What's porn got to do with the Taliban.
precisely! Its the principal of what they ban that gets me
So you want them to remove the porn apps not the Taliban apps? Is that what you're saying? Or are you trying to start some pointless 'protest'?
no...I want them to cencure apps that may hurt the young, influence the lost&do whats right by humanity. Taliban shouldnt be able to access vulnerable people thru apps, porn should have dedicated adult sites that mean you must register(because you wont ever get rid of it)...in a perfect world...Im sorry if you misunderstood but I think we should change the way we allow things to escalate&then try to fix it. No argument, just my opinion...
