Note to self: Don’t mess with Swift.
On Saturday night, OK! Magazine tweeted this breaking news:
Singer @taylorswift13 has made a ‘pregnancy announcement’!
Everyone picked out baby shower presents for Taylor as they waited for the story to load.
But, as it turns out, the story wasn’t about Taylor announcing she was pregnant. It involved the singer helping a couple to announce their pregnancy.
See what OK! did with those sneaky quotation marks?
Worse, the opening line of the story introduces Taylor – just in case anybody on earth doesn’t already know her – as Harry Styles’ ex-girlfriend.
But magazines don’t get away with shit like that on Taylor’s watch.
And Taylor is always watching.
She tweeted her displeasure, via whale.
YEAH SHE DID.
This isn’t the first time Taylor has lauded as a feminist role model, despite her original insistence that she would not describe herself as a ‘feminist’.
She admitted to The Guardian in an interview in 2014 that she was having a ‘feminist awakening’, and has defended Emma Watson’s HeForShe campaign and nailed her response to a sexist question on the red carpet. (The reporter said: “You’re going to walk home with a lot more than maybe just a trophy tonight. I think lots of men.” Taylor quipped back: “I’m not going to walk home with any men tonight. I’m going to hang out with my friends and then I go home to the cats.”)

*Taylor and her cat OLIVIA... That cat is OLIVIA BENSON not Meredith.
Good article though
She has two cats. Her older cat is called Meredith, but her younger cat is Olivia Benson.
The scratch picture she posted on Instagram did indeed say “GREAT WORK, MEREDITH. I WAS JUST TRYING TO LOVE YOU AND NOW YOU OWE ME 40 MILLION DOLLARS."
So MM did report this correctly.
See two gorgeous Scottish Folds :)
The caption under the picture of her holding her white cat says 'Taylor and her cat Meredith' but the white cat is Olivia. So the caption was wrong. The article was correct about the rest.
I missed that!
