A comedy sketch group from New York have done a funny and created a fake ad for tampons. The hook? What if tampon ads were scripted by a group of clueless men.
The misconceptions about “that time of the month” flow thick and fast, because men. AMIRITE?!
The punch line of this parody is that this fake advertisement is an awful lot like an actual advertisement. In fact it’s a lot like every blue liquid soaked, euphemism heavy, information light ad for lady products we’ve ever seen.
It is also hilarious.
“We’re women on the go, so we need a tampon that works with our lifestyle. That’s why we need Tampax the perfect tampon for that thing that happens. That thing is periods.”
“I need something dependable … for when tiny eggs come pouring of my vagina covered in blood and I have to scoop them up!”
“Whether your vagina tall short, round, square or shaped like a weird ghost, you and your Tampax are sure to become best friends forever.”
“It’s literally impossible to know when your period will hit… once a month, twice a month, fifteen times a month, a hundred times a day. I know that no matter how often it comes I can always depend on Tampax.”
