Watch this morning TV host go from Ugg boots to on air - all before 6am.

The mere thought of having to arrive at work, fully functioning, at 3.47am is enough to make even the perkiest morning person shudder.

And yet that’s just how Sylvia Jeffreys rolls. Every day.

As co-host on the Today show, Sylvia is up and at it many hours before the rest of us hammer the snooze button on our alarms – but when you see her on TV, looking all bright-eyed, glowy-skinned and smiley, you’d never suspect she worked such ungodly hours.

If you’re anything like us, you’re probably wondering how on earth one goes from ‘bed hair’ to ‘on air’ before even the sun wakes up.  Well, we have the answer.

In a video shared on Today’s Youtube channel, Sylvia walks us through her morning, beginning with her 3.47am (!!!) arrival at the studio.

Arrival

“Obviously the focus at this point of the day is on comfort and warmth,” she tells the camera, pointing at her ugg boots. Yep, Sylvia Jeffreys rocks up to work in ugg boots – as if we couldn’t love her more. She also seems to be far more friendly and pleasant than we would at the same hour.

Sylvia picks up her brief for the day’s show on the way into the hair and makeup department. Although obviously she already looks great.

Makeover time

The hair and makeup wizards do their thing while Sylvia leafs through the day’s newspapers and her brief.

Of course, she emerges looking gorgeous, clutching what we can only assume is a very strong coffee. Because EARLY:

Then Sylvia gets to work, writing and subbing her scripts and just casually looking completely polished and lovely. All before 5am.

Wardrobe change

At 5.15am, less than an hour before going on air, Sylvia gets changed.

Then it’s GO TIME.
