Guess how much this sculpture is going to cost this Australian city. Guess.

Most times I drive passed an abstract sculpture, I look at it and think, “I could’ve done that.” The simplicity of some sculptures makes me wonder what I’m still doing working nine to five like an IDIOT, when I could be closing my eyes and drawing a doodle with my left hand that will be picked up by a rich benefactor and made into ART. But now, with the unveiling of the newest sculpture planned for a major Australian city, I’ve realised that I KNOW NOTHING about doodle sculptures. Here is said doodle sculpture:

Apparently it’s a cloud.

An artistic cloud.

Because clouds represent freedom and openness, and we just aren’t seeing enough free and open clouds in the sky these days.

This cloud will be reigning happiness on Sydneysiders and tourists on George St from it’s 50-75 metre vantage point once constructed.

It was designed by Japenese artist Junya Ishigami, who is said to take inspiration from weather patterns.

And in just three to seven years, the statue will be completed for the bargain price of $9 million.

Finally, we will have a cloud full of freedom that we can walk under and feel slightly uncomfortable about the connotations of walking through a woman’s crotch.
