BREAKING: Two Sydney schools are in lockdown following terror threats.

BREAKING:

Two schools in Sydney’s southwest have reportedly initiated lock-outs after terror threats were made via social media.

East Hills Boys High School in Panania and Sir Joseph Banks High School in Revesby have lock-outs in place, with people out to leave but no one allowed to enter, News Limited reports.

A NSW Police media spokeswoman said officers had been sent to the two schools as a precaution.

“NSW Police have been made aware of threatening information on social media,” the spokeswoman told News Limited.

“As a precaution officers from Bankstown LAC are at high schools in Revesby and East Hills conducting inquiries.

“Police will investigate the situation and police are reminding members of the public that it is an offence to post threatening or violence-inciting messages on social media sites.”

Last year, East Hills Boys High had pro-ISIS graffiti painted on its walls.

According to News Limited, the school gates at East Hills Boys High are locked.

But Fairfax Media reported a staff member at East Hills Boys High School saying “nothing’s going on here” and referred the organisation to the NSW Department of Education.
