Suzi from The Block shares she had a relationship with Richard Wilkins.

It’s a union only slightly less surprising than Rupert Murdoch and Jerry Hall. Today in unexpected celebrity couple news, The Block’s Suzi Taylor has revealed she had an affair with veteran entertainment reporter Richard Wilkins.

Taylor, 44, — who was one half of the “single mums from the Gold Coast” on last year’s series of the Channel 9 renovation show — was initially linked to Wilkins, 61, last year, but both parties denied any romantic involvement.

Now Taylor, who has been making headlines since her time on the show, has revealed to the Courier Mail the pair were in fact dating.

“We were at the Channel 9 telethon when we first connected,” Suzi said. That occurred in October 2015.

“From there, I would go to Sydney to see him. He gave me access to his house and I would be there in my underwear waiting for him when he got home from work.”

Wow. What a visual.

Although Taylor said she grew close to Richard’s son Christian and his family over the course of their relationship, Wilkins ended the relationship suddenly over the phone after a few months.

“He called me on the phone and said it had to stop,” she explained, adding “that really hurt me”.

Unsurprisingly, the break-up call came shortly after Taylor made national headlines for a drunken striptease aboard a boat that was caught on camera and days after Taylor was admitted to rehab after collapsing on the set of The Block, reports the Courier Mail.

Wilkins wasn’t Taylor’s only conquest during her stint on the show. She also dated producer Tim Wise but according to reports they also broke up sometime after boat-striptease-gate.

The timeline here is murky.

Nevertheless, Wilkins apparently didn’t want to remain on that sinking ship. More fool him, though, because Taylor is now rekindling her relationship with Wise, according to the Courier Mail.
