British actor Stephen Fry has married his fiance, comedian Elliot Spencer.
Fry tweeted a photo to his followers earlier today showing the pair signing the register at a registry office in Dereham, Norfolk.
“Gosh. @ElliottGSpencer and I go into a room as two people, sign a book and leave as one. Amazing,” he captioned the image.
Fry also joked that the couple’s vows had been witnessed by an Oscar Wilde doll. “Oh and @ElliotGSpencer and I had our vows witnessed by a mini Oscar Wilde. Because one should,” he said.
Earlier in the day he hinted that he had a ‘banquet’ to attend. Banquet of course meaning marriage.
“Gulp! @Ronnieo147 v @nr147 this afternoon @BBCSnooker. A banquet. And then @NorwichCityFC v @CardiffCityFC – good things… #BBCSnooker.”
Fry, 57, announced his engagement only 11 days ago, on the 6 January. He had hoped to keep the wedding under wraps, writing on Twitter at the time: “Oh. It looks as though a certain cat is out of a certain bag. I’m very very happy of course but had hoped for a private wedding. Fat chance!”
Congratulations to the happy couple.

The entertainer has given formal notice to wed Elliott Spencer at a register office in the market town of Dereham, in Norfolk, close to where he grew up.
Fry’s personal assistant said no date for the wedding had yet been fixed.
“Stephen Fry is very happy and proud to say that he has set the wheels in motion for a wedding some time in the future but no date has been set due to a busy work schedule.”
The announcement led to a flurry of support on Twitter for the actor, who has previously spoken openly about his battle with depression.

I love Stephen Fry, I really do. But why is no one questioning the age difference in this relationship? I'm sure if it was an older man and a younger woman there would be many snide comments and eyebrow raises, and if it were an older woman and a younger man... well... I can only imagine the cougar headlines. Does no one else find it a little creepy?
Because you can never say anything about gay people without being accused of being homophobic... duh.
Elliot looks like he's about 15 years old. He's gonna look fantastic in 20 years time!!
Congrats to the happy couple :)
