A beautiful way to remember someone who was taken far too soon.
Today, Stephanie Scott would have been 27 years old.
The English and drama teacher disappeared from the school she worked at in the NSW town of Leeton in April this year.
Days later, her body was found in national park 70 kilometres from Leeton.
It was just a few days before Stephanie was due to marry her childhood sweetheart Aaron Leeson-Woolley.
Today — October 14 — would have been Stephanie’s birthday.
To mark the occasion, her family have asked everyone to have a cup of tea at 3pm, the time that Stephanie was born.
Stephanie’s older sister Kim took to her Facebook page to share the family’s request yesterday, with response by commenters being overwhelmingly positive.
Today, Kim invited everyone, who does have a cup of tea, to share their photos on her Facebook page.
Stephanie was allegedly killed by the school’s cleaner, aided by his twin brother.
At 3pm, we have the opportunity to honour the young woman who was subjected to this completely senseless crime.
Here at Mamamia, we’ll be putting on the kettle at 2:58pm and having a cup of tea for Stephanie.

This breaks my heart :(. I didn't see it in time unfortunately but tomorrow I'll definitely have that tea.
Those pictures of Stephanie are gorgeous and it just hits my heart too hard. It seems that motherhood has raised all my emotions and they will never return to normal. My son turns 4 next Tuesday and the image of little toddler Stephanie sitting and grinning wide with her Bananas in Pyjamas cake just breaks my heart. As a mother I just cant comprehend the insane profound loss of losing a child and yet Mrs Scott continues on. I imagine it to be like having a chunk of your heart ripped out. It's just awful!
I'll nurse my cup of tea tomorrow as I watch over my little boy playing with His Thomas and Friends trains and chatter about his upcoming birthday that is just so exciting to him. I'll cherish the fact that I get to spend that birthday with my son.
That poor woman and that poor family :( it's beyond comprehension how awful it all is.
