It’s the question that stay at home mums are inevitably asked: “What do you do all day?”
Well, the question doesn’t need to be asked anymore. This beautifully put together video follows the lives of three stay at home mums, as they lovingly juggle their way through the day.
These women simultaneously dive into the roles of commander in chief, cleaner, doctor, story teller and everything in between. And in case you’re still wondering how these activities fill the whole day – they’re doing all of this while raising tiny human beings into valuable members of society.
Are you a stay at home mother? Have you ever been asked this question?

Long time reader - first time poster! I felt a bit sad reading all of the comments about who has it harder and who is more stressed. I don't know when it became ok for people (not just other mothers) to think they can pass judgment on how others raise their children and how they spend their time. If your children are well cared for and loved - good job. If you leave your home to work hard to provide for your children, through choice or because you have to, good job. If you stay at home and work hard to care for your children and family, good job. If you stay at home, don't really work hard, and have lots of free time but your house is clean and your kids looked after - what is your secret?
I have a 22 month old daughter and I work 4 days a week. This is not by choice, she came into our lives a bit earlier than we were planning and we're not in a financial position to live off one income. I would love to stay at home and spend more time with her and do more things like keep the house clean and cook nice meals and everything else that comes with staying at home. On the other hand, there are days when I am happy that I can send her to a daycare she loves, so I can go to work, have some grown up time and contribute financially so we can all live in a nice house in a safe neighbourhood. I can say that since having a child, I've realised that I had no idea what busy was - and that was after working three jobs for a period of about 2 years. Both on my work days, and days at home I am always finding something else that needs to be done.
Lets try not to criticise other mums for making some time for themselves to have a coffee or catch up with friends.
Played happily with my 3 monkeys tonight after our beach swim training...just at home in the moment, hubby still at work and I missed out on a girls movie night -- but I didn't care, frankly I had no desire to be anywhere else. Just savouring the moments with my kids whilst they are little and enjoying it. I think that's what it's all about...for me..
